Stitches pattern generator
Rows of short dashes like running stitch on fabric. Light, airy, and quick to fill without ever looking empty.

What is a running stitch pattern?
Running stitch is the simplest hand sewing there is: the needle goes in and out along a line, leaving a row of short dashes. Repeat those rows across a page and you get a soft dashed texture, the same one you see on quilts and sashiko cloth.

How to use the Stitches generator
Work in rows and vary the pressure rather than the color, and it reads as thread. It is also a good page to leave partly blank, since the dashes already carry the whole surface.
It is free to generate, tweak, print, and download as many Stitches pages as you like. Every roll gives you a new one, and you can save the ones you love to come back to.
Great for: sashiko and quilting looks, and a fast page when you do not want to commit.
